A delegation from the Moroccan Parliament takes part in the 32nd Conference of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union taking place on February 17-18, 2022, in Cairo, the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The Delegation, headed by First Deputy-Speaker of the House of Representatives Mohamed Sibari, involves the members of the Moroccan parliamentary representation at the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union:
The Conference is part of the initiatives that aim to advance the system of joint Arab action and consolidate parliamentary cooperation as a key basis for Arab solidarity. The Conference will also shed light on the priority questions to the region's States. In this respect, it will discuss and examine the current challenges arising in the Arab World, including the security situation and the Arab efforts in preserving Arab national security and Arab unity. The participants will also discuss the role of parliaments in achieving economic complementarity and activating the role of Arab women and the Arab commitment to the prominence of the Palestinian cause and the rejection of any projects that target the rights of the Palestinian people.

On this occasion, the First Deputy Speaker of the House, Mohamed Sibari, gave a statement on behalf of the Moroccan Delegation, where he lauded the efforts deployed by the organs of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union under the exceptional global circumstances.
He also noted the importance of pursuing consultation, dialogue, deliberation, and hearing between the Arab brothers, which is a political gain for the Arab nation, caught between several worrisome whims and tendencies and a significant number of internal and external tensions and challenges.
The Deputy-Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed the need to maintain the work from within the Arab parliamentary institutions. In this respect, he said, “They represent the collective will, values, principles and ideals, despite the differences that can be observed in terms of experience, performance, presence, efficiency and productivity. The basic principle is that the Arab world is a single body that complements, shares, discusses, communicates, and stands together regarding rights and the common, realistic and wise rational Arab position, which acknowledges the concrete reality and appreciates opportunities and possibilities.
In the same context, he praised the role of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union as a responsible observatory that expresses, as far as possible, the unity horizon, provides the necessary conditions for the solidarity of the Arab parliamentary body, confrontation of challenges or various types of violations against certain Arab countries, such as the attacks against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or the United Arab Emirates, in addition to the continuation of the joint frank and serious Arab commitment to defend the central Arab cause, the cause of the brotherly Palestinian people and their right to attain their independence and to build their independent national State, as well as to face all kinds of fanaticism, extremism, violence, terrorism, organized crime, arms and human trafficking and other dangers affecting Arab national security and the exigencies for unity, stability and national sovereignty.
