Speaker of House of Representatives and Salvadoran Parliamentary Delegation Underscore Centrality of Exchanging Experiences and Expertise and Sustaining Parliamentary Communication, Consultation, and Coordination in Serving the Common Interests

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Monday, July 22, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, a delegation of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of El Salvador led by MP Carlos René Hernández Castillo on the occasion of its working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from July 21 to 28, 2024. 

The delegation of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of El Salvador includes MP Daniel Joaquín Aguillón Márquez, MP Johana Michelle Anaya De Murillo, and MP Cecilia Guadalupe Rivera Méndez. During their visit to the Kingdom of Morocco, the delegation will hold talks with several officials and will perform field visits to explore the major projects launched by the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, which have enabled the Kingdom to occupy a leading position in several areas.

Attended by the Chairperson of the Morocco-El Salvador Parliamentary Friendship Group, Rep. Abdelfattah El Aouni, and the Ambassador of the Republic of El Salvador to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Ignacio de Cossío Pérez de Mendoza, the talks between the Speaker of the House and the Salvadoran parliamentary delegation focused on the parliamentary experiences of both countries. In this respect, the two parties underscored the importance of such visits in reinforcing bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation, sustaining communication, exchanging experiences and expertise, and coordinating at the various international gatherings for a joint parliamentary action that serves the interests of both countries. 

During the meeting, the two parties lauded the relations between the two countries, built on mutual respect, the defense of global peace and security, and joint action for human development and prosperity. 

The talks between the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, and the delegation of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of El Salvador, led by MP Carlos René Hernández Castillo, were also an opportunity to examine and discuss several questions of mutual parliamentary concern, such as migration, food and energy security, investment, green economy, education, health, and digital transition.
