During Their Reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Palestinian Delegation Commends the Initiatives of His Majesty the King in Favor of the Palestinian Cause and His Active Solidarity with the Palestinian People

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, a Palestinian delegation currently on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco at the invitation of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency.

During their talks with Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, the Palestinian delegation expressed their gratitude and heartfelt thanks to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, Chairman of the Al Quds Committee, for his humanitarian initiatives and the medical aid delivered to Palestinians in Gaza. 

The Palestinian delegation also praised the relentless and continuous work of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Asharif Agency through the aid it delivers and the projects it implements on the field to preserve the identity and the historical and civilizational sanctities of Al-Quds Asharif. 

During the reception, the members of the Palestinian delegation gave an overview of the current situation in Al-Quds and the Gaza Strip, as well as the suffering of Palestinians during this challenging period. 

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, welcomed the Palestinian delegation. In the same context, he reiterated the official Moroccan position regarding the Palestinian cause and the solidarity and support of all the components of the Moroccan population for the Palestinian cause, under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, Chairman the Al-Quds Committee. 

The Speaker of the House also shed light on the various Royal initiatives in this respect, which fall within the scope of the kind solicitude that His Majesty, may Allah protect him, grants the Palestinian cause and the rights of Palestinians. 

The Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Rabat, H.E. Jamal Al Shobaki, and the Director in charge of running the BMAQ Agency, Mr. Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, attended the reception. 

The Palestinian delegation included the Minister of Al-Quds Affairs, Mr. Ashraf al-Awar; the Deputy Governor of Al-Quds, Mr. Abdullah Seyam; the Secretary of the Palestine Cabinet’s Supreme Committee for Al-Quds, Mr. Moutasim Taim, the Preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque and Judge of the Sharia Court, Mr. Muhammad Sarandah; the former President of the Lutheran World Federation, Mr. Munib Younan; the President of Al-Quds University, Mr. Imad Abu Kishek; and the President of the Trade Chamber of Al-Quds and Secretary of the Makassed Hospital Association, Mr. Kamal Obaidat. 

The delegation also includes the President of the Al-Azhar University’s Board of Trustees in Gaza, Mr. Khalil Abu Foul; the President of the University, Mr. Omar Melad; the Secretary-General of the Presidency of the University, Ms. Safa Nassereldin; the member of the University’s Board of Trustees and member of the Legal Committee, Mr. Nafeth Al-Bsous; the member of the University’s Board of Trustees and Chairperson of the Committee of Medicine Faculties, Mr. Hassan Al-Zammar; and the member of the University’s Board of Trustees and member of the Legal Committee, Mr. Mamdouh Gabr.
