Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami Represents His Majesty the King in Inauguration Ceremony of the President-Elect of the Republic of Chad

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, represented His Majesty King Mohammed VI, on Thursday, May 23, 2024, in the inauguration ceremony of the President-Elect of the Republic of Chad, H.E. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno. 

The official inauguration ceremony took place in the capital, N'Djamena, and featured the presence of Heads of State, Heads of Government, Speakers of Parliament, Ministers, and heads of delegations, in addition to members of the diplomatic representations in Chad, and other figures. 

During the ceremony, attended by His Majesty’s Ambassador to the Republic of Chad, H.E. Abdellatif Erroja, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami extended to H.E. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno the congratulations and esteem of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and the commitment of the Sovereign to collaborate hand-in-hand for the development and stability of Africa. 

His Majesty King Mohammed VI had addressed a message of congratulations to the President of the Republic of Chad on the occasion of his election to the supreme office of his country. 

In his message, the Sovereign expressed to H.E. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno his heartfelt congratulations and wishes for full success in his noble mission.

“By expressing their confidence in you at this essential stage of the democratic transition process, the Chadian people have shown their gratitude for your commitment to defending their supreme interests and realizing their aspirations for greater progress and prosperity,” His Majesty the King wrote in the message.

It should be noted that H.E. Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno won the presidential elections by 61% of votes.
