Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at the seat of the House, a high-level delegation from Korea representing the Moroccan-Korean Association, headed by the Honorary Consul of Morocco in Seoul, Mr. Sung Gum-Hwa.
The Korean delegation is on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on May 4-10, 2023. The delegation held several talks and performed field visits to discover closely the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify him.
At the onset of the meeting, the Honorary Consul of Morocco in Korea, Mr. Sung Gum-Hwa, expressed his gratitude, in his name and on behalf of the members of the Moroccan-Korea Association, to the Kingdom of Morocco for the hospitality and warm welcome they received during the various stages of the working visit they are performing to the Kingdom.
Besides, the members of the Korean delegation expressed their fascination with the major efforts and projects of the Kingdom under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, noting the excellent evolution recorded in various areas, hence leading Morocco to become a model of development, prosperity, and stability. The Korean delegation also stressed that their visit to the Kingdom of Morocco and the House of Representatives would remain engraved in the memory of the members of the Moroccan-Korean Association. In the same regard, they noted the importance of sustaining communication and consultation between the two countries to achieve a better future for all.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, thanked the members of the Moroccan-Korean Association for the visit. In the same respect, he commended the quality of the ties linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Korea, adding that the House of Representatives aspires to consolidate the said ties through the exchange of visits, friendship groups, and the creation of fora for dialogue, debate, and consultation on the questions inscribed as priorities on the parliamentary agenda.
On the same occasion, the Speaker of the House gave a brief overview of the Moroccan parliamentary experience and the peculiarities of the House of Representatives, its prerogatives, and its roles in reinforcing economic and commercial ties with friendly countries, protecting national and foreign investments by providing the adequate conditions for the construction of win-win relations, particularly with Korea, and reflecting on the creation of spaces for the exchange of views and economic-parliamentary coordination.
The meeting was also an opportunity to cover several questions of mutual concern that can advance relations between the two countries.
