In the light of the significant presence of the House of Representatives in several parliamentary bodies and assemblies, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine expressed his wish that the relations between the legislative institutions of the two countries be promoted, namely by the exchange of visits, via the friendship groups and through coordination at the different parliamentary levels.

For his part, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi Alami thanked the Palestinian Ambassador and the Speaker of the Palestinian National Council for the congratulations and lauded the distinguished parliamentary ties linking the two sides. In this respect, he stressed that the Representatives have always had the same position in favor of the Palestinian cause on both regional and international levels as they follow the developments in Palestine, express sincere views whenever they defend international legitimacy, and constantly communicate with the members of the Palestinian National Council.

The Speaker of the House added that the bilateral and multilateral ties with the Palestinian National Council are a pillar of the parliamentary relations of the House of Representatives. These ties will gain new momentum through strengthening the role of the parliamentary friendship group, exchanging visits, coordinating positions and consulting during the meetings of parliamentary unions.
