On the second day of his working visit to Budapest, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks with the Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Mr. Peter Szijjarto.
During their talks, the two officials lauded the excellent relations linking the Kingdom of Morocco and Hungary. The Hungarian Foreign Affairs Ministers noted the "strategic priority the Kingdom of Morocco grants to combatting global terrorism, which converges with the responsibility of Budapest in Middle Europe." He added that the two countries share the same position regarding their commitment to their sovereignty and independence and later reiterated his country's support for the territorial integrity of the Kingdom.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives commended Hungary's valuable support for the Kingdom of Morocco and its national cause.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Hungarian official praised the efficient vaccination policies adopted by the two countries to address the health crisis.
The meeting was also attended by the Chairperson of the Group of the National Rally of Independents at the House of Representatives, Rep. Mohamed Ghayate, and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Morocco to Hungary, Ms. Karima Kabbaj.
