Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Delegation of the British National Liberal Club

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at the Seat of the House, with a delegation of the National Liberal Club of the United Kingdom, led by Lord Monroe Palmer, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords, on the occasion of their work visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on October 1-7, 2023. 

The talks between the two parties focused on the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him. The two parties also discussed relations between the two friendly countries, particularly at the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary levels, in addition to the means to develop and advance said ties. 

The meeting was also a favorable opportunity to shed light on the parliamentary experiences of both countries and their peculiarities. Besides, the two parties highlighted the role of the two legislative institutions in consolidating dialogue and efficient communication, advancing bilateral and multilateral parliamentary coordination, enhancing openness to various experiences, and exchanging expertise for further parliamentary efficiency. 

Founded in 1882, the National Liberal Club is an institution of high historic importance in the United Kingdom. The Club gathers politicians, academics, as well as professionals in media and other occupations of liberal and progressive orientations. The Club constitutes a platform for dialogue, cultural communication, and a space to exchange ideas and opinions.
