Speaker of the House of Representatives Confers with the Delegation of the Qatari Shura Council

Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the House, with a delegation of the Shura Council of Qatar, headed by the Hon. Mohammed bin Fahad Seif Al-Mesallam.

During the meeting, the two parties reviewed the prospects of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and Qatar in various fields. In this respect, the Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed the important role that parliaments play in fostering and strengthening these relations to serve the common interests of the two brotherly countries and their peoples.

On this occasion, Mr. Talbi El Alami highlighted the brotherly and friendly relations between the two heads of States, His Majesty King Mohammed VI and His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, and their constant keenness to promote the brotherly relations and cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the State of Qatar.

For his part, the Hon. Mohammed bin Fahad Seif Al-Mesallam, and the delegation accompanying him, praised the level of good relations and the bonds of friendship and solidarity between the Kingdom of Morocco and Qatar. They further noted the need to intensify and exchange visits between parliamentary delegations to develop bilateral and multilateral cooperation between the two countries. On this occasion, the Hon. Al-Mesallam reiterated Qatar's support for the positions and causes of the Kingdom of Morocco and the rest of the Arab States.

It should be noted that the Qatari delegation is taking part in the 11^th Congress of the Association of Senates, Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and the Arab World, hosted by the House of Councilors and organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI on March 3-5, 2022.
