Speaker of the House of Representatives Habib El Malki and Dean of the Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences Agdal – Mohammed V University Farid El Bacha concluded, on Thursday, January 21st, 2021, at the House’s headquarters, a partnership and cooperation agreement between the two institutions. The agreement aims to facilitate and promote cooperation between the two institutions in training and scientific research and the exchange of expertise and scientific, legal, diplomatic knowledge.
In his statement on this occasion, the Speaker of the House of Representatives noted that the conclusion of this agreement is part of the partnership linking the House of Representatives to the institutions of higher education and scientific research, which was launched last year following the conclusion of an agreement on the matter with the presence of the Minister of National Education, Vocational Training, Higher Education, and Scientific Research and the Minister Delegate in Charge of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
Mr. El Malki expressed the House’s strong will to open to Moroccan universities, noting the importance of the interaction of higher education and scientific research institutions with the parliamentary work. In the same respect, he lauded the significant development of Moroccan universities during the last years and their keenness to follow our country's economic and social transformations.
For his part, Dean of Faculty of Legal, Economic, and Social Sciences Agdal – Mohammed V University Farid El Bacha, commended the conclusion of this agreement, noting that it is the first of its kind that the Faculty concludes. He also stated that the Faculty's development plan for the next two years includes an essential axis of opening to the environment, which allows a fruitful interaction between creating knowledge and social and economic development.
The two parties agreed on forming a joint committee in charge of monitoring, implementing, and assessing the clauses of this agreement and proposing themes and theoretical and practical projects in the sectors of mutual interest.
