Speaker of the House of Representatives and Ambassador of Japan Discuss Means of Promoting Coordination and Joint Parliamentary Action

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022, the Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Hideaki Kuramitsu. 

At the onset of the meeting, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami welcomed the Ambassador of Japan, expressing his esteem and appreciation for this meeting, being an opportunity to communicate and discuss several questions relating to the future of the Morocco-Japan parliamentary ties, in addition to the means to promote coordination and joint parliamentary action through the exchange visits, experiences, and expertise. 

For his part, the Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Hideaki Kuramitsu, thanked the Speaker of the House of Representatives for his warm welcome. On the same occasion, he expressed his appreciation and congratulated the Kingdom of Morocco on its achievements at various levels. He also expressed his esteem for the Moroccan experience, and the Kingdom’s wise management of Covid-19 and its economic, social, and health repercussions. 

The reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, of the Japanese Ambassador, H.E. Hideaki Kuramitsu, under a courtesy visit to the House, was an occasion to discuss and exchange points of view on several questions inscribed as priorities on the parliamentary action agenda. The themes mainly covered security, stability, climate change, renewable energies, and the roles of parliaments at the national, regional, and international levels in dealing with those questions.
