Important Parliamentary Delegation Led by Hon. Talbi El Alami Performs Working Visit the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania

At the invitation of his counterpart, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, Hon. Mohamed Ould Meguett, a high-level parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, performs a working visit to Nouakchott on February 9-10, 2024, in order to reinforce parliamentary cooperation between the two legislative institutions, consolidate coordination and the exchange of parliamentary experiences and expertise, and discuss the questions of common parliamentary concern.

In addition to the Speaker of the House, the delegation of the House of Representatives comprises Rep. Mohamed Ghayate, Chairperson of the Group of the National Rally of Independents; Rep. Nourdin Moudian, Chairperson of the Istiqlali Group for Unity and Egalitarianism; Rep. Abderrahim Chahid, Chairperson of the Socialist Group-Ittihadi Opposition; Rep. Chaoui Belassal, Chairperson of the Constitutional, Democratic, and Social Group; Rep. Rachid Hamouni, Chairperson of the Group of Progress and Socialism; and Rep. Abdellah Bouanou, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Caucus of Justice and Development.

Headed by Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, the delegation of the House of Representatives will hold meetings covering bilateral and multilateral parliamentary affairs, particularly with the Speaker of the Mauritanian National Assembly. The delegation will also hold talks with the Prime Minister and members of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
