Chairperson of the Education, Culture, and Communication Committee, Rep. Addi Chajri, Holds Talks with Delegation of the Committee for Culture and Education of the Vietnamese National Assembly

Chairperson of the Education, Culture, and Communication Committee, Rep. Addi Chajri, held talks on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, with a delegation of the Committee for Culture and Education of the Vietnamese National Assembly, currently on a visit to the Kingdom until September 21, 2024. 

During the encounter, the two parties discussed the means to reinforce parliamentary cooperation, particularly between the two Committees, and exchange experiences and expertise between them. They also tackled the intensification of meetings and visits within the scope of the Morocco-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Group. 

Rep. Addi Chajri briefed the members of the Committee for Culture and Education of the Vietnamese National Assembly on the formation and competences of the Education, Culture, and Communication Committee, and the major bills it adopted, particularly the Framework Law on the System of Education, Training, and Scientific Research and the Organic Law on the Higher Audiovisual Communication Authority. 

Rep. Addi Chajri also informed the Vietnamese parliamentary delegation on the educational reform in our country, the National Press Council, and the management of the national cultural heritage. 

In their interventions, the members of the Education, Culture, and Communication Committee, Rep. Ilham Essaki and Rep. Youssef Chiri, shed light on the experience of the Kingdom in integrating youth within elected bodies like the Parliament and the exploitation of artificial intelligence in scientific research. They also noted that this visit is a first step towards extending communication bridges with the National Assembly of Vietnam. 

For his part, the Vice-Chairperson of the Committee for Culture and Education of the Vietnamese National Assembly, MP Ta Van Ha, stressed the importance of consolidating cooperation and partnership between the legislative institutions of both countries and coordination between the two Committees in matters of mutual concern. 

The meeting also featured the participation of MP Hoang Trung Dzung, MP Pham Nam Tien, MP Au Thi Mai, MP Nguyen Thi Viet Nga, Mr. Vu Minh Dao, and Mr. Hoang Van Loi.
