Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee at the House of Representatives Receives Political Affairs Advisor at the US Embassy in Rabat

Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, Migration, and Moroccan Expatriates Committee, Rep. Salma Benaziz, received on Thursday, December 19, 2024, at the Seat of the House, the Political Affairs Advisor at the United States Embassy in Rabat, Mr. Jonathan Ackley. 

The talks between the two parties focused on the efforts of the Kingdom of Morocco in enhancing coexistence and interfaith dialogue. In this respect, Rep. Salma Benaziz underscored the leading role of the Kingdom in anchoring the values of coexistence between religions and civilizations and its commitment to tolerance and moderation, which is mirrored in the achievements of the Kingdom of Morocco in this field and also in managing the religious area and combatting extremism and terrorism.

For his part, Mr. Jonathan Ackley commended the achievements of our country in instilling coexistence between religions, lauding its efforts in this area at national and international efforts. He also praised the development projects conducted by our country and affirmed the importance of the friendship and fraternal bonds linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the United States, as well as the imperative of reinforcing cooperation between them. In the same respect, he lauded the vital role the Kingdom of Morocco enjoys at the African level.
