Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with His Counterpart, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Chile

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Republic of Chile, Hon. Karol Aída Cariola Oliva, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom and participating in the Congress of the Future, organized by the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors in cooperation with the Future Encounters Foundation and the two Chambers of the Chilean Parliament.

The talks between the two parties covered the relations between the two countries who share several traits and values. They also shed light on the major structural projects conducted by the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, as well as the development dynamism the southern provinces of the Kingdom witness.

The discussion also tackled the relations between the Moroccan House of Representatives and the Chilean Chamber of Deputies, and the means to reinforce them through exchanging visits and parliamentary experiences and expertise, as well as intensifying communication and coordination in the various regional and international parliamentary fora under constant respect of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of States and not interfering in their internal affairs.

The meeting of the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, and the Speaker of the Chilean Chamber of Deputies, Hon. Karol Aída Cariola Oliva, and her entourage, served also as an opportunity to exchange views on several questions of mutual parliamentary concern.

The Chilean side participating in the meeting included MP Tomás De Rementería Venegas, member of the Chilean Chamber of Deputies, and H.E. Alberto Rodríguez Aspillaga, Ambassador of the Republic of Chile to Rabat.
