Deputy Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs, National Defense, Islamic Affairs, Migration and Moroccan Expatriates Committee, Rep. Nadia El Kansouri, accompanied by Rep. Abdelaali Barouki, member of the Committee's Bureau, received on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, a Palestinian delegation from the National Popular Congress for Al-Quds and the Islamic-Christian Instance in Support of Al-Quds and the Holy Places, currently visiting the Kingdom at the invitation of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency, from October 21 to 28.
On behalf of the Palestinian delegation, the Secretary-General of the National Popular Congress for Al-Quds, Mr. Bilal Hashem Sadiq Natsheh, expressed his gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI for his historic positions in favor of the Palestinian cause in his capacity as Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, as well as to the Moroccan Government and people for their constant support for this cause, while stressing the urgent need for increased support.
In their interventions, the members of the Palestinian delegation highly commended the Kingdom of Morocco's efforts in support of the Palestinian cause, as well as its continued support for the city of Al-Quds and Gaza. They also highlighted the important role played by the Moroccan House of Representatives in supporting the Palestinian cause, whether within the Arab Parliament or the Parliamentary Union of the OIC Member States, in stepping up support in response to the demands of the Palestinian resistance, and in facilitating visits by Arabs and Muslims to the city of Al-Quds.
For her part, Rep. Nadia El Kansouri welcomed the visit of the Palestinian delegation, underlining the support of the Kingdom of Morocco, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for the Palestinian cause at all levels, as well as the solidarity of the Moroccan people.
Rep. Nadia El Kansouri also stressed the importance of strengthening Arab and Islamic unity in support of the Palestinian cause, noting that members of the Moroccan House of Representatives take every opportunity in regional and international parliamentary fora to advocate the Palestinian cause.
For his part, Rep. Abdelaali Barouki, member of the Bureau of the Foreign Affairs Committee, who also attended the reception, stressed that His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, has always been a pioneer in supporting the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Al-Sharif Agency and the Palestinian people, adding that relations between Morocco and Palestine go back to very ancient times.
It should be noted that the Palestinian delegation included the Secretary-General of the National Popular Congress for Al-Quds, Mr. Bilal Hashem Sadeq Matsheh; the Secretary General of the Islamic-Christian Instance to Support Al-Quds and the Holy Places, Mr. Hatem Mohammed Abdelkader Eid; the Delegate of the Congress, Mr. Youness Ismail Ibrahim Amouri; the Congress member in charge of Education, Ms. Ghadir Faouzi Sabri Jaber; the Congress member in charge of Al-Aqsa and the old city, Mr. Basha Saeed Kamal Khatib; the Coordinator of National Relations at the Congress, Mr. Adel Hassan Mohammed Abou Znid; the Congress member in charge of pursuits, Mr. Emad Mohammed Abdellah Aouad; the Delegation’s coordination with the Agency, Mr. Bashar Robin Fallah Abou Shamsiya; and the Congress Legal Advisor, Mr. Ahmed Safiya.
The reception was attended by Mohamed Salem Echarkaoui, the Managing Director of the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Al-Sharif Agency.
