Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives Delegation of the Vietnamese Central Theoretical Council

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Monday, October 7, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, a delegation of the Vietnamese Central Theoretical Council, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

During the meeting, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami commended the quality of the historical and excellent ties linking Morocco and Vietnam, particularly at the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary level.

On the same occasion, the Speaker of the House briefed the Vietnamese delegation on the significant reforms and projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, particularly in the political, economic, and social areas.

The Speaker of the House also gave an overview of the prerogatives conferred to the House of Representatives under the 2011 Constitution: legislation, control, public policy evaluation, and parliamentary diplomacy.

In his statement, the First Vice-President of the Vietnamese Central Theoretical Council, Mr. Ta Ngoc Tan, noted that this visit falls within the scope of exploring the Moroccan experience in social, economic, and security policies. He also added that the two countries have several common traits that serve as a pillar for advancing bilateral relations in a way that serves the interests of their two friendly peoples.

The meeting featured the presence of the Ambassador of Vietnam to Morocco, H.E. Le Kim Quy.
