Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Monday, September 23, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, with the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Cameroon, Hon. Cavayé Yéguié Djibril, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco at the lead of a prominent parliamentary delegation.
During the meeting, the Speaker of the Cameroonian National Assembly, Hon. Cavayé Yeguié Djibril, expressed his happiness at visiting the Kingdom for the second time, lauding the development it has witnessed at all levels and the achievements it has made during recent years under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah protect him.
Besides, Hon. Cavayé Yéguié Djibril expressed his country's aspiration to reinforce the cooperation and partnership ties with the Kingdom of Morocco at all levels.
He also extended a formal invitation to the Speaker of the House of Representatives to perform a parliamentary working visit to the Republic of Cameroon, which would serve as an opportunity to reinforce the parliamentary cooperation ties between the legislative institutions of the two countries.
For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, underscored the strength of the relationships uniting the two friendly countries in all areas, particularly on the parliamentary side. He also recalled the policy of the Kingdom of Morocco towards Africa under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah protect him. Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami also shed light on the important role of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Cameroon in Africa, particularly regarding security, stability, and reinforcing development and South-South cooperation.
The Speaker of the House also highlighted the promising opportunities and great capacities of both countries, which must be invested to strengthen the economic relations and intensify commercial exchanges between them in a way that serves their common interests under the wise leadership of the rulers of both countries.
The meeting featured the attendance of the Ambassador of the Republic of Cameroon to Rabat, H.E. Mohamadou Youssifou; the members of the National Assembly, MP Roger Nkodo Dang and MP Njingum Musa; and the Head of Cabinet of the Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Boukar Abdourahim.
