Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Hon. Andrija Mandić, and his entourage, on the occasion of his working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco from July 15 to 18, 2024, to reinforce parliamentary relations and explore the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him.
At the onset of the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed his thanks to the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro for his country's unwavering position regarding the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco. The two parties also commended the relations linking the two countries, which are built on mutual respect for the national sovereignty of States and supporting global peace and security.
The talks between the two parties highlighted the peculiarities of the two parliamentary experiences and tackled the dynamism characterizing bilateral and multilateral parliamentary cooperation and the means for reinforcing it through exchanging visits, sharing experiences and expertise, activating the two parliamentary friendship groups, and sustaining effective bilateral and multilateral parliamentary communication to strengthen dialogue, coordination, and joint parliamentary action.
The talks between the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, and the Speaker of the Parliament of Montenegro, Hon. Andrija Mandić also served as an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on several questions of mutual parliamentary interest.
It should be noted that the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Parliament of Montenegro had concluded on June 25, 2018, in Podgorica, a protocol on parliamentary cooperation to anchor all forms of cooperation with a view to achieving understanding, working together, and advancing parliamentary cooperation at the highest level through several mechanisms including the creation of parliamentary working groups and the organization of regular gatherings.
