Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Ms. Tanja Fajon, currently on a formal visit to the Kingdom on the occasion of celebrating the 32nd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Slovenia.

During the meeting, the two parties commended the good relations linking the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of Slovenia, which culminated in the joint declaration issued on Tuesday, where Slovenia praised the Moroccan autonomy proposal as "a good basis for achieving a definite and consensual solution" to the regional conflict over the Moroccan Sahara, under the aegis of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and his Personal Envoy.

The meeting was an excellent opportunity for the two parties to explore the means for reinforcing cooperation between the legislative institutions of the two countries, mainly since the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco and the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia had concluded a memorandum of understanding in 2022. The two parties also tackled several parliamentary questions of mutual concern.

On this occasion, the Speaker of the House of Representatives gave an overview of the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him.
