Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress in Sichuan and Secretary of the Communist Party Committee in the Province

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Friday, June 7, 2024, at the Seat of the House, Mr. Wang Xiaohui, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress in Sichuan and  Secretary of the Communist Party Committee in the province, currently leading a prominent delegation on a working visit to the Kingdom.

During the meeting, the two parties praised the distinguished progress of the cooperation ties linking Morocco and China since the historical visit His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, performed to China in May 2016, and His Majesty's talks with the President of the People's Republic of China, H.E. Xi Jinping, which culminated in the signature of the joint declaration of establishing a strategic partnership between the two countries. 

The Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Congress in Sichuan, and Secretary of the Communist Party Committee  in the province, underscored the prominent and strategic position of the Kingdom of Morocco as a link between Europe and Africa. In the same respect, he shed light on the promising areas for cooperation between the two countries at the levels of trade, renewable energies, tourism, transportation, education, scientific research, culture, and other fields. He also noted that the relations between the two countries witness qualitative development and grow stronger on a regular basis

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives highlighted the important role the Kingdom of Morocco plays at the regional and international levels under the enlightened leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah assist him, and His Majesty's commitment to solidarity and cooperation between African countries. In this vein, he recalled the Royal speech given by His Majesty on the 48th Anniversary of the Green March, where His Majesty announced the launch of the Atlantic Initiative that aims to reinforce the access of Sahel countries to the Atlantic and serves African causes, particularly those of the countries of the Sahel and the Sahara.
