A group of young Representatives belonging to various Parliamentary Groups of the House of Representatives held talks, on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, with a Kenyan delegation headed by the First Daughter of the President of the Republic of Kenya, Hon. Charlene Ruto, currently on a visit to our country to take part in several events, including the MEDays Forum in Tangier.
Hon. Charlene Ruto expressed her happiness for visiting the Kingdom of Morocco and her desire to share the Kenyan experience in terms of youth with Moroccan youngsters, mainly through the creation of communication canals with the organizations and fora concerned with youth, in addition to the advancement of the agenda of the partnership between Moroccan and Kenyan youngsters. The Kenyan Official also proposed the creation of opportunities for exchanging expertise in education, knowledge, trade, and investment and consolidating African cooperation, in order to preserve the unity and dignity of African peoples, and achieve collective prosperity in the Continent.
For their part, the young Representatives of the House highlighted the significant features of the Morocco-Kenya relations and the prospects of their development. In the same respect, they expressed the readiness of Moroccan youngsters to solidify communication and dialogue channels with their Kenyan counterparts, in addition to the keenness of all Parliamentary Groups of the House of Representatives to intensify meetings and talks with Kenyan parliamentarians, in a way that contributes to the consolidation of bilateral cooperation between the legislative institutions of the two countries.
At the end of the meeting, Hon. Charlene Ruto thanked the young Moroccan Representatives for the warm welcome. She also expressed her hope that the meeting would be the start of more opportunities to exchange expertise and best practices in the near future.
