Speakers the Moroccan and Liberian Houses of Representatives Agree on Consolidating Parliamentary Ties, Exchanging Experiences and Expertise, and Coordinating in Regional and International Parliamentary Fora

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks on Sunday, January 21, 2024, in the Liberian capital Monrovia, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Jonathan Fonati Koffa.

The meeting covered the bases of relations between the two countries, reflected in friendship and mutual esteem. The two parties also underscored the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation between the two legislative institutions through the Parliamentary Friendship Group, the exchange of visits, coordination within the various international parliamentary fora, and the sharing of experiences and expertise.

On occasion, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami shed light on the leading role of the Kingdom of Morocco in developing Africa and encouraging investments in the continent, within the scope of the African policy adopted by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, on the basis of South-South cooperation and the creation of spaces to consolidate it.

The meeting of the Speakers of the Moroccan and Liberian Houses of Representatives was also an opportunity to examine several parliamentary matters and questions of mutual interest.
