Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives IMF Delegation

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, received on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, a delegation of the International Monetary Fund, led by Roberto Cardarelli, the head of the delegation.

During the meeting, the head of the IMF delegation, Roberto Cardarelli, noted that the visit, which falls under the scope of the annual talks conducted by the Fund under Article 4 of its Articles of Agreement, aims to explore the economic policies and reforms launched by the Kingdom of Morocco to ensure a robust, comprehensive, and inclusive development.

For his part, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami seized the occasion to shed light on the major economic, financial, and social reforms launched by the Kingdom of Morocco in recent years under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him. The Speaker of the House also highlighted the aspects of stability and security that the Kingdom of Morocco enjoys, which have granted it international and regional trust. In the same regard, he praised the fruitful cooperation between the Kingdom and the IMF and the trust they share.

The Chairperson of the Finance and Economic Development Committee of the House of Representatives, Rep. Mohamed Chaouki, attended the meeting.
