Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Morocco

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received, on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at the seat of the House in Rabat, the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani.

During their talks, the two parties highlighted the historical depth of relations between the two countries, based on the mutual respect of sovereignty and territorial integrity, in addition to continuous support in international fora. They also praised the strong brotherly bonds linking the leaders of the two countries, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, and His Highness Prince Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, may God protect them. Moreover, the two parties commended the successful organization of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and the performance of the Moroccan National Team and its positive echoes.

Besides, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Rabat stressed the importance of solidifying bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties through extending communication and cooperation bridges and exchanging experiences and expertise between the legislative institutions of the two countries. In the same vein, they affirmed the achieved gains and the quality of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary relations through the exchange of visits and coordination in the various regional and international parliamentary fora.

The reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, of the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Rabat, H.E. Abdullah bin Thamer Al Thani, was also an opportunity to exchange views on several bilateral, regional, and international parliamentary questions of mutual concern.
