Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at the seat of the House in Rabat, the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Leslie J. Baja.

On occasion, the two parties commended the quality of the economic and commercial ties linking the two countries and recalled the depth of the diplomatic relations they entertain since 1975. They also agreed on consolidating said relations at the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary levels.

Besides, the two parties stressed the importance of coordination and consultation at the parliamentary level between the two countries and reinforcing bridges of constant communication through exchanging visits. The two parties also highlighted the roles of the parliamentary friendship groups and the prominence of institutionalizing parliamentary links and advancing them towards broader prospects of cooperation, coordination, and continuous dialogue.

The reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, of the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Leslie J. Baja, was also an opportunity to exchange views and discuss several questions inscribed as priorities on the parliamentary agenda.
