Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives Ambassador of the Republic of Finland

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the seat of the House in Rabat, the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Pekka Hyvönen.

During the meeting, the two parties stressed the importance of parliamentary ties and agreed on their consolidation at the bilateral and multilateral levels. Moreover, the two parties underscored the centrality of parliamentary coordination and consultation, the extension of continuous dialogue bridges through exchanging visits, the roles of the parliamentary friendship groups, the institutionalization and advancement of parliamentary relations towards broader cooperation horizons,  and constant dialogue at the continental and international levels, particularly with regard to future questions of mutual concern such as climate change and digital transition. 

The meeting between the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Ambassador of the Republic of Finland was also an opportunity to exchange views on several questions inscribed as priorities on the agenda of joint parliamentary action.
