Mr. Habib El Malki, Speaker of the House of Representatives, received, on Monday 17 February 2020, at the House of Representative's headquarters, Mr. Arturo Chipoco Caceda, the Ambassador of Peru in Rabat, paying a courtesy visit after the approval of his credentials as a new Peruvian ambassador to the Kingdom.
On this occasion, the Speaker of the House of Representatives commended t the excellent level of ties between Morocco and Peru, which culminated in the signing of a number of cooperation agreements in recent years, recording the regularity of the political dialogue between the two countries and their common will to strengthen and upgrade cooperation ties in all fields.
Mr. El Malki appreciated position regarding the issue of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom, pointing out that there is a shift in the stances of many countries, adding, "Whoever knows the truth of the contrived conflict over the Moroccan Sahara and looks at the field situations, supports the autonomy proposal put forward by Morocco As a final solution to collapse this file. "
On the parliamentary level, Mr. Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed the strong will to strengthen cooperation relations between the legislative institutions of the two countries. In this context, he invited the President of the Peruvian Congress to pay a working visit to the Kingdom and discuss ways to advance bilateral relations to serve the interests of both countries.
For his part, the Ambassador expressed his pride in representing his country in Morocco, appreciating the tourism, cultural, and civilizational aspects with which Kingdom is endowed.
The Ambassador affirmed that Peru supports Morocco's request to join the "Andean Community" as a noting member, and pointed out that there is increasing coordination between the two countries on many issues of mutual concern.
