Speaker of the House of Representatives Receives Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, with the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Ahmed BAHIYA, within the scope of his courtesy visit to the House of Representatives.

During the meeting, the two parties commended the excellent fraternal ties linking His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him, and H.E. Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani, President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. They also lauded the strength and quality of cooperation between the two countries and agreed on intensifying coordination between their legislative institutions in the various regional, continental, and international parliamentary fora. Besides, the two parties also agreed on defending the mutual interests of both countries and reinforcing the deep-rooted relations between them.

The reception of the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to Rabat by the Speaker of the House of Representatives was also an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on several international and regional questions inscribed as priorities on the agenda of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary action.
