The Speaker of the House of Representatives called for uplifting the memory of the House of Representatives to a higher and broader level through the creation of a national museum of parliamentary memory. In this respect, he said, "We hope that the contemporary Morocco and democracy will have a vast space, rich with its historical and symbolic contents, ideas, presentations and suggestions, and that the latter will become one of the major distinguishing marks of our country and our people.”
In the same context, Mr. El Malki invited the former Speakers of the House of Representatives, as well as all former and current representatives, to donate copies of their photo albums, documents, and archives (or parts of them), to "contribute to the compilation of the parliamentary archive.”
