Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Vice-President of the Netherlands Court of Audit

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at the seat of the House, a delegation from the Netherlands Court of Audit, including the Vice-President of the Court, Mr. Ewout Irrgang, currently on a working visit to the Court of Accounts on October 11-13, 2022, as part of cooperation and the second partnership program.

The talks between the two parties focused on highlighting the relationship linking the House of Representatives to the Court of Accounts. In this respect, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami shed light on the Moroccan parliamentary experience under the 2011 Constitution, the Parliament's prerogatives in public policy evaluation, and its relationship with the other constitutional institutions.

For their part, Mr. Ewout Irrgang and his entourage highlighted the prerogatives of the Netherlands Court of Audit and its relationship with the Dutch House of Representatives, as well as the cooperation and partnership ties it entertains with the Moroccan Court of Accounts since 2016.

The encounter between the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the delegation of the Netherlands Court of Audit was also an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on comparative models and practices related to the relationship between financial courts and legislative institutions.
