Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with President of the National Transitional Council in the Republic of Guinea

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Monday, October 16, 2023, at the Seat of the House, with the President of the National Transitional Council in the Republic of Guinea, H.E. Dansa Korouma, and his entourage, currently on a working visit to the Kingdom of Morocco during which he took part in the Global Parliamentary Forum at the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group and the IMF, held in Marrakesh on October 9-15, 2023.

During their talks, the two parties commended the good bilateral relations linking the two countries and the policy of the Kingdom of Morocco towards Africa and its countries under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him. On the same occasion, H.E. Dansa Korouma extended his country's condolences to the Kingdom of Morocco following the earthquake that struck some of its regions on September 8, 2023. In the same respect, he expressed the solidarity of the Republic of Guinea and its esteem for the efforts deployed by the Kingdom to overcome the tragedy and alleviate its repercussions.

Besides, the two parties also discussed the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah protect him, in addition to the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties uniting the two countries and the means to solidify and advance them.

The reception was also an appropriate occasion to shed light on the parliamentary experiences of both countries and their peculiarities and to underscore the role of the two legislative institutions in reinforcing dialogue, efficient communication, and bilateral and multilateral parliamentary coordination, as well as in opening to the various experiences and exchanging expertise for further parliamentary efficiency.
