Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with the President of Korea-Africa Foundation

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at the House, the President of the Korea-Africa Foundation, Mr. Lyeo Woon-ki, who was accompanied by the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Chung Keeyong. The talks focused on strengthening relations between the House of Representatives and the Korea-Africa Foundation. 

Mr. Lyeo Woon-ki highlighted the main objectives of the Foundation, which was established in 2018, with the aim of promoting economic and political relations between South Korea and various African countries; studying available opportunities and potentials; sharing information for a better understanding and comprehension of various issues of common concern; promoting exchange and cooperation between the public and private sectors in South Korea and African countries, and implementing projects. In addition to these priorities, the South Korea-Africa Foundation looks forward to strengthening its relations with the House of Representatives in a way that reinforces sustainable dialogue and communication between the two countries, added the South Korean official.

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami thanked the President of the Korea-Africa Foundation, Mr. Lyeo Woon-ki and the Ambassador of the Republic of South Korea, H.E. Chung Keeyong for the visit, and underscored the good level of Morocco-South Korea relations, adding that the House of Representatives looks forward to solidfiying these relations through the exchange of visits, friendship groups, and the creation of fora for discussion, dialogue and consultation on issues of priority listed on the joint parliamentary agenda.

The reception of the KAF President, Mr. Lyeo Woon-Ki, and the Ambassador of the South Korea, H.E. Chung Keeyon, by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami, was also an opportunity to discuss a number of bilateral, regional and international parliamentary issues that contribute to the development of relations between the two countries.
