Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, held talks on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at the Seat of the House in Rabat, with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms. Mariya Ivanova Gabriel, currently on a visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.

The talks between the two parties covered consolidating bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly at the parliamentary, economic, and cultural levels. The two parties also discussed several regional and international questions of mutual concern.

On the same occasion, the two parties commended the good relations linking the two countries and their friendly peoples. They also lauded the major projects launched by the Kingdom of Morocco under the wise leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may Allah glorify him.

During the meeting, the Speaker of the House of Representatives underscored the importance of reinforcing cooperation between the two countries and their parliamentarians at the level of regional parliamentary organizations in a way that serves the mutual interests of both countries, particularly within the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean chaired by the Kingdom of Morocco.

For her part, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria commended the role of the Kingdom of Morocco in establishing peace and stability in the region, lauding the reforms conducted by our country in different areas.

The Bulgarian Minister of Culture, Mr. Krastyu Krastev, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Bulgaria to Rabat, H.E. Plamen Tzolov, also attended the meeting.
