Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Chairpersons of the Legislative Assemblies and Delegations of Central America, Caribbean and Mexico

Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks, on Thursday, May 19, 2022, with the Chairpersons and delegations of legislative Assemblies members of the Forum of Legislative Assemblies of Central America, Caribbean and Mexico (FOPREL), on the occasion of their participation in FOPREL’s 26^th Extraordinary Session, which was hosted by the Moroccan Parliament over the period of May 19-21, 2022.

During these meetings, the various parties reviewed ways to strengthen bilateral and multilateral cooperation, especially in the parliamentary field, by giving a new impetus to friendship groups and regional, continental and international parliamentary fora.

In addition, the talks focused on the role of parliaments and parliamentarians in enhancing understanding, rapprochement and parliamentary communication, and highlighted the importance of exchanging experiences and expertise in areas of common concern such as migration, renewable energies, digital transformation and development of information and communication technology.

It should be noted that the meetings featured the presence of the Executive Secretary of the Forum, the Hon. Santiago Ulises Rivas Leclair, and a number of ambassadors to the Kingdom of Morocco.
