Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Ambassador of Switzerland

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the seat of the House in Rabat, the Ambassador of Switzerland to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Guillaume Scheurer. 

During the meeting, the two parties commended the quality of the historical ties linking the Kingdom of Morocco and Switzerland. They also focused on the evolution of the bilateral ties at the level of economy, trade, industry, tourism, scientific research, education, and schooling. In this regard, they noted that the agreements concluded between the two countries and the joint projects they implement are a testament to the investment of all available opportunities in consolidating the bilateral and multilateral ties.

After shedding light on the Moroccan and Swiss parliamentary experiences, the peculiarities of each experience, and their common and distinctive features, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Swiss Ambassador underscored the depth of parliamentary relations and stressed the importance of their consolidation through the parliamentary friendship groups, openness to wider spaces for dialogue and communication, coordination between parliamentarians, and the exchange of experiences and expertise via exchanged visits.

The talks between the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Swiss Ambassador were also an occasion to exchange views on several questions of mutual parliamentary concern.
