Speaker of the House of Representatives Holds Talks with Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami held talks on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at the seat of the House in Rabat, with the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. James McIntyre.

The talks between the two parties covered the means to consolidate parliamentary cooperation between the two countries by institutionalizing the bilateral and multilateral ties linking their legislative institutions through a parliamentary friendship group, effective communication, exchange of visits, consideration of spaces for continuous dialogue, and the exchange of experiences and expertise.

The reception was an opportunity for the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Ireland, H.E. James McIntyre, to discuss questions of mutual parliamentary concern, the situation at the regional and international scenes, and the roles of parliaments and parliamentarians in reinforcing world peace and security and consolidating development in all its dimensions.
