Speaker of the House of Representatives and Czech Parliamentarian Tomáš Zdechovský Discuss Means to Consolidate Joint Parliamentary Action

Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at the House, the Czech parliamentarian and Vice-chairperson of the Committee on Budgetary Control at the European Parliament, Mr. Tomáš Zdechovský, along with the Czech Ambassador to the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Ladislav Škeřík.

At the onset of the meeting, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami welcomed Mr. Tomáš Zdechovský and Mr. Ladislav Škeřík, expressing his esteem and pride at this meeting, which represents an opportunity to communicate and discuss several questions related to the future of the Morocco-Czech parliamentary relations.

For his part, Mr. Tomáš Zdechovský thanked the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the warm reception. In the same respect, he expressed his appreciation of the achievements realized by the Kingdom of Morocco on several levels. The Czech MP also expressed his aspiration to consolidate the bilateral and multilateral Morocco-Czech ties, especially at the level of the European Parliament.

The reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami, of Czech MP. Tomáš ZDECHOVSKÝ, Vice-chairperson of the Committee on Budgetary Control at the European Parliament, was also a chance to discuss and exchange views on several questions inscribed as priorities on the agenda of parliamentary action. The topics discussed included security, stability, climate change, education, renewable energies, as well as the roles of parliaments to coordinate and act jointly to find new methods to address the national, regional, and international challenges.
