Speaker of the House of Representatives and Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan Stress the Importance of Consolidating the Bilateral and Multilateral Parliamentary Ties

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the seat of the House, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Nazim Samadov. 

During the meeting, the two parties commended the level of bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties. They also noted the quality of the relations linking the two countries on the basis of mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, and the continuous support within the various regional and international gatherings. 

On occasion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Kingdom of Morocco expressed his pride and appreciation of this reception. In this regard, he underscored the respect-based friendship and cooperation ties linking the two countries. In the same context, he expressed Baku’s aspiration to consolidate its parliamentary, economic, and commercial links with Rabat and open new spaces for coordination and cooperation. 

For his part, the Speaker of the House of Representatives noted the deep-rooted historical, cultural, and spiritual relations between the two countries. In the same regard, he commended the similitude of views regarding several regional and international questions and the commitment to the sovereignty of States, their territorial integrity, and the resolution of conflicts in pacific manners. Besides, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami shed light on the evolution of relations between the two legislative institutions during the last decade and the links between Moroccan and Azeri parliamentarians in the various regional and international fora, adding that such relations would be further consolidated through the exchange of visits and consolidation of the roles of the two parliamentary friendship groups.
