Speaker of the House of Representatives and Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Laud Excellent Level and Significant Evolution of the Bilateral Parliamentary Ties

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami received, on Wednesday, September 14, 2022, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Kingdom of Morocco, H.E. Yasser Mustapha Kamal Othman. The two parties discussed the bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties, the ways to promote the exchange of experiences and expertise, and the means to consolidate constant communication between the legislative institutions and parliamentarians of the two countries.

At the onset of the meeting, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami welcomed H.E. Yasser Mustapha Kamel Othman and expressed his esteem for this visit, which would enable further consolidation of the ties linking the legislative institutions of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Republic of Egypt. On the same occasion, he lauded the relations between the Moroccan House of Representatives and its Egyptian counterpart at the bilateral and multilateral levels, and the fruitful cooperation between them at the various regional and international parliamentary fora, given the deep-rooted ties between the two countries, and their shared visions on several common questions and interests. The Speaker of the House of Representatives also highlighted that the Kingdom of Morocco and the Arab Republic of Egypt share ancient civilizations.

For his part, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Rabat, H.E. Yasser Mustapha Kamal Othman, expressed his gratitude and esteem to the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Kingdom of Morocco for the warm welcome and hospitality the Egyptian parliamentary delegations had enjoyed in their last visits to the Kingdom. He also expressed satisfaction with the good and significantly developed bilateral and multilateral parliamentary ties. In the same respect, he called for their reinforcement through exchanging visits of the Speakers of the two legislative institutions, intensifying cooperation, and exchanging parliamentary experiences and expertise.

The talks between the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami, and the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Yasser Mustapha Kamal Othman, also touched on several bilateral, regional, and international parliamentary questions of mutual concern.
