Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman Discuss Ways to Consolidate Bilateral Ties

Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the House, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of Morocco, the Hon. Said Ben Mohamed Al Baraami.

At the onset of the meeting, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman thanked Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami for the warm reception and lauded the historically and culturally deep-rooted ties linking the Kingdom of Morocco to the Sultanate of Oman. In the same vein, he expressed his appreciation and esteem for the Moroccan experience that converges with the Omani one in several aspects. He also reiterated the unwavering position of his country in favor of the territorial integrity of the Kingdom of Morocco and its autonomy proposal, which is a long-standing and clear position that has not changed since 1975. The Ambassador also noted that Muscat supports the positions of Rabat in the various international fora.

Besides, the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman underscored the importance of consolidating the bilateral commercial, economic and cultural ties, and highlighted the distinction of the historically deep parliamentary ties. In the same respect, he added that his country aspires to consolidate such relations at the bilateral and multilateral levels, and in various fora through exchange of visits, friendship groups and continuous parliamentary coordination.

For his part, Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami commended the depth of the historical and cultural relations uniting the Kingdom of Morocco and the Sultanate of Oman. In this context, he lauded the excellent bilateral parliamentary ties, which have been consolidated in the recent years, enabling the conservation of achievements, the realization of accumulation and the reinforcement of communication between the parliamentarians from both countries on the horizon of reaching efficient and sustainable bilateral and multilateral coordination.

The reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami, of the Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman, the Hon. Said Ben Mohamed Al Baraami was also an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on several bilateral, regional and international parliamentary questions of mutual concern.
