Speaker of the House of Representatives, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa Discuss Ways to Advance Cooperation

Speaker of the House of Representatives Rachid Talbi El Alami received on Thursday, April 21, 2022, at the House, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the Kingdom of Morocco, the Hon. Ebrahim Edries.

At the onset of the meeting, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami welcomed the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, the Hon. Ebrahim Edries, expressing his esteem and pride at this meeting, which would enable communication and discussion over several questions related to the future of the Morocco-South Africa parliamentary ties.

For his part, the Hon. Ebrahim Edries thanked the Speaker of the House of Representatives for the warm reception. He also expressed his congratulations to the Kingdom of Morocco for its achievements on several levels. In the same respect, he noted his esteem and respect for the Moroccan experience and the Kingdom’s wise management of COVID-19 and its economic, social and health repercussions.

The reception by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Rachid Talbi El Alami, of the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa, the Hon. Ebrahim Edries, was an opportunity to discuss and exchange views on several questions inscribed as priorities on the African agenda, especially ones relating to security, stability, climate change, renewable energies, as well as the roles of parliaments nationally, continentally and internationally in dealing with such questions.
