Speaker of Council of Representatives of Kingdom of Bahrain and President of Arab Parliament Commend “Model Policy of Kingdom of Morocco in Addressing Migration”

Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain Fawzia Bent Abdulla Yusuf Zainal, and President of the Arab Parliament Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi expressed their total solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco and condemned the resolution of the European Parliament on "Moroccan minors and migration." In the same respect, they commended the decision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to facilitate the return of undocumented, unaccompanied Moroccan minors in some EU countries and lauded the "model policy of the Kingdom of Morocco in addressing migration."

In their phone talks with Speaker of House of Representatives Habib El Malki on Tuesday, June 22, 2021, the two officials stressed that the instrumentalization of the European Parliament in a purely bilateral crisis between the Kingdom of Morocco and Spain would not contribute to finding real solutions to the "real problem that exists between the Kingdom of Morocco and Spain, and does not involve the European Union."

On this occasion, Mr. Adel Abdulrahman Al-Asoomi recalled the decision of the Arab Parliament to hold an emergency meeting, on June 26, to express solidarity with the Kingdom of Morocco against the resolution of the European Parliament that "includes several fallacies."

For her part, the Speaker of the Council of Representatives of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Fawzia bent Abdulla Yusuf Zainal lauded the brotherhood and solidarity ties linking the two countries on all levels. She also reaffirmed the strength and solidity of the cooperation ties linking the legislative institutions of the two Kingdoms.
