The House of Representatives organizes, in cooperation with the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, a Seminar on “The conditions and circumstances of implementation of Law 103.13 on combatting violence against women.”
The Seminar will provide an opportunity to present and discuss the different opinions, perceptions, and approaches regarding the status of implementation of this legal text. It will also be a chance to identify the legal, organizational, and practical problems linked to its implementation, as well as to determine the possible and adequate avenues, instruments, and mechanisms to overcome them.
The Seminar will feature the participation of representatives of the various components of the House and the Ministries and constitutional institutions directly concerned with the implementation of the Law. It will also witness the participation of international partners, academics, experts, representatives of women's wings within the political parties represented at the House of Representatives, and representatives of civil society.
The Seminar aims to enrich the public debate that accompanies the process of evaluation of the said Law, a mission entrusted by the Board of the House to a Thematic Working Group composed of representatives of the different Parliamentary Groups and Caucus.
