PCID - Last Day: Speakers of the House of Representatives and House of Councilors Hold Intensive Talks with Speakers of Parliaments and Heads of Delegations

On the last day of the Parliamentary Conference on Interfaith Dialogue, held in Marrakesh on June 13-15, 2023, the Speakers of the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors, Hon. Rachid Talbi El Alami and Hon. Ennam Mayara, held talks with Speakers of Parliaments and Heads of participating delegations. 

The Speakers received the Speaker of the House of Peoples from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hon. Zvizdić Denis; the Speaker of the House of Representatives in Equatorial Guinea, Hon. Gaudencio Mohaba Mesu; the Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis, Hon. Adil Aliyev; the Speaker of the Emirati Federal National Council, Hon. Saqr Ghobash; and the Head of the Knesset delegation, Mr. Danny Danon.

The talks covered the means to consolidate parliamentary diplomacy and exploit parliamentary cooperation opportunities in a way that serves mutual interests and contributes to reinforcing the bilateral ties between the Moroccan Parliament and the other friendly and brotherly parliaments. 

On occasion, the delegations praised the wisdom and vision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God glorify him, in consolidating dialogue, peace, and coexistence between all religions, peoples, and civilizations. They also lauded the multidimensional development the Kingdom has achieved in various areas. Besides, they commended the success of the Conference, which featured the distinguished participation of parliamentarians, religious leaders, politicians, researchers, experts, and civil society organizations from more than 70 countries. The delegations also expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco and the Moroccan Parliament for the warm welcome and good organization.
