The members of the Moroccan Parliamentary Representation at the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe are taking part in the proceedings of the Committee on Political Affairs and Democracy, which kicked off on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, in Paris, and will go on until Wednesday, December 13.
The participants in the meetings will mainly discuss the recent developments in Libya and the Middle East and their consequences for Europe, foreign interference as a threat to democratic security in Europe, the role of youth within the PACE, migration and asylum policies in election campaigns, the support for the reconstruction of Ukraine, and other questions related to the organization of the PACE’s proceedings.
It should be noted that the Moroccan Parliament participates actively in the proceedings of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe thanks to the status of a partner for democracy that the Kingdom of Morocco has enjoyed within this prominent European interparliamentary assembly since 2011.
