The Moroccan Parliament is taking part, through the members of the Moroccan Parliamentary Representation to the Arab Parliament, in the Arab Parliament's Third Sitting of the Third Session of the Third Legislative Term, held at the seat of the Secretariat General of the League of Arab States in Cairo, Arab Republic of Egypt, on January 20-22, 2023.
The agenda of the sitting features meetings of the Standing and ad hoc Committees, and a plenary session to discuss the timely Arab questions, and follow up with the political and social developments taking place at the regional and international scene in order to coordinate the positions of Arab States on their regard and strengthen joint Arab action.
It should be noted that the Moroccan Parliament is represented within the structures of the Arab Parliament as Rep. Ahmed Ched chairs the Committee on Economic and Financial Affairs, and Cllr. Mohamed Bakouri chairs the Committee on Arab Food Security, and is also a member of the Committee on External, Political, and National Security Affairs. Besides, Rep. Khadija Hajjoubi is Vice-Chair of the Committee on Social, Educational, and Cultural Affairs, and Women and Youth, while Rep. Mohamed Ayyach is a member of the Committee on Legislative, Legal, and Human Rights Affairs.
As part of defending the strategic vital Arab questions, the members of the Moroccan Representation have always taken part in the meetings of the Committee on Palestine, and followed the recent developments and the decisions it takes.
