A House of Representatives delegation is participating in the 47th Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (APF), held on July 5-9, 2022, in Kigali, Rwanda.
In this regard, Rep. Mohamed Ghayate, Head of the delegation and Chairperson of the Group of the National Rally of Independents, took part on Tuesday, July 5, in the meeting of the APF's Bureau. The meeting focused on discussing and examining several questions, including ratifying the report of the Bureau's meeting held in Libreville on January 27-28, 2022. The meeting also featured hearing the presentation of the Secretary-General on the Assembly's activities in 2022 and ratifying the report on the draft budget for 2021 and 2022's first semester.
The meeting also tackled the program of global parliamentary cooperation for the same year in terms of expectations and the multilateral agenda. It also featured the presentation of an overview of the implementation progress of the Assembly's 2019-2022 strategic framework and examination of the draft 2023-2026 strategic framework.
On another note, the meeting debated the reform of the Assembly’s statute, partnership agreements. It also examined the reports elaborated by standing committees, parliamentary networks, and the heads of missions at the regional levels. Besides, the participants reviewed the multiannual draft themes for legislative debate.
The House’s delegation should also take part in the meetings of the Women Parliamentarians Network and Young Parliamentarians Network, as well as in the meetings of the standing committees and the 47th plenary of the APF.
The delegation includes, in addition to Rep. Mohamed Ghayate, Head of the delegation (Chairperson of the Group of the National Rally of Independents), Rep. Hassan Ouaallal (Group of the National Rally of Independents), Rep. Latifa Lablih (Group of Authenticity and Modernity), and Cllr. Mohamed Reda Lahmini.
