The thematic working group on the Palestinian cause held a meeting on Thursday, September 6th, 2018, under the chairmanship of Speaker of House of Representatives Habib El Malki.
The group's meeting is part of implementing the new provisions of the House's Rules of Procedure, stipulating the creation of thematic working groups as mechanisms of research, examination, and follow-up of several strategic questions of high importance to the active forces of our country.
Mr. El Malki reiterated that the just Palestinian cause is one of the most important projects set out in the House’s Rules of Procedure, and for which the latter has devoted provisions that are consolidated by concrete measures at the level of examination, research, and results.
During the meeting, the group reviewed the great history that links Morocco to the Palestinian cause and the continuous and relentless efforts of His Majesty the King, Chairperson of Al Quds Committee, to establish global, rightful, and permanent peace in the region following the principles of legitimacy and the related international resolutions.
The group has also reviewed the numerous principles and general guidelines that regulate its work under the provisions of the Rules of Procedure and in coordination with the House's bodies, through defining the purpose of its mission and the means to implement it on the official, parliamentary, and popular levels. The group also discussed its work methodology and the different initiatives that aim to support the Palestinian cause and combat the dangers that threaten it.
