The House of Representatives and the High Commission for Planning have concluded a cooperation and partnership agreement in the field of documentation of information and data and their provision to the public to preserve the national memory.

The Agreement was concluded on Thursday, July 2nd, 2020, by Speaker of House of Representatives Habib El Malki and High Commissioner for Planning Ahmed Hlimi. The Agreement aims to institutionalize and fortify cooperation between the two institutions in the field of documentation and dissemination of information, to develop the services provided to researchers and the public, and to facilitate online access to them in accordance with the provisions of Law 31.13 on the right to access information, and in compliance with the provisions of Law 09.08 on the protection of individuals with regard to personal data processing.

Following this Agreement, the House of Representatives will put its publications, files, and documents at the disposal of the National Documentation Center attached to the High Commission for Planning (HCP). The House will also publish these documents for public access through the online filing platform for public institutions, managed by the said center.

Also, under this Agreement, the House may utilize the databases and portals managed by the Center, in addition to the institutional e-filing platform “e-dépôt.cnd.hcp.ma,” which is a platform that collects, processes, and publishes documents to put them at the disposal of the public for general benefit.

It should be noted that the House of Representatives publishes and owns a valuable documentary record that covers Moroccan parliamentary life since independence. It has also issued a significant number of publications that describe and explain the competences of the House, its missions, and functions.

By virtue of this Agreement, the National Documentation Center will provide technical support to the House of Representatives to utilize databases and portals, through training courses in the field of documentation and information.
